49th Annual NJ Clearwater Festival in Asbury Park

NJ Friends of Clearwater thanks you for being in Asbury Park for our 49th Annual Festival

It was great to be back in beautiful Sunset Park in Asbury Park for our 49th Annual NJ Clearwater Festival. Hundreds of visitors roamed the beautifully renovated park, listening to the music, visiting vendors and environmental exhibits, and sampling dishes from a wide array of food trucks. In all, our return to Asbury was a modest success, despite the rain and rain chances forecast on both August 31st and September 1st.

We were excited, and we are encouraged to return again next summer for our grand 50th Festival, featuring a special appearance by our founder, folksinger Bob Killian. In the early 1970’s, Bob spent several years with Pete Seeger, appearing on many albums as a Sloop Singer, and helping to stage events that brought attention to the environment and the severe pollution of the Hudson River.

We will start planning and fundraising for the 50th Festival later this month, so look for more info here. And please write to us about your own experiences attending the Festival, or your suggestions for next year at festival@njclearwater.org

Please enjoy the photos taken at the 2024 Festival.

Thank you - Ben Forest, Diane Beeny, Robert McKay, John Verdecias, Kathleen Turner, Ginni Koehler, Dale Lakata, Lynn Humphrey, and Haya Zimmerman Gray - for the pictures
